We are thrilled to launch the 2026 St HOPE HARLEM Scholarship application.
The St HOPE HARLEM scholarship awards four $10,000 scholarships each year to alumni who are
graduating from high school and attending college. The scholarship disburses $2,500 annually over the
course of a four-year college education (contingent upon the recipient maintaining good academic
standing). The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage and enable St HOPE alumni to pursue their
goals of graduating from college and is open to students enrolling in an accredited community college,
two-year college/university, or four-year college/university.
2025-2026 St HOPE HARLEM Scholarship FAQ’s
What type of institution must the scholar attend?
Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited community college, two-year college/university, or four-year college/university. This includes all CUNY and SUNY schools.
How long is the scholarship valid for?
The scholarship is renewable for four full academic years, provided that the scholar maintains eligibility.
What are the renewal eligibility requirements?
Scholars must be enrolled in an accredited institution and maintain good academic standing per academic year. For St HOPE’s purposes, good academic standing is defined as having a cumulative grade point average (GPA) that permits the student to maintain enrollment at their specific institution.
Can scholarship recipients attend school part-time?
Part-time enrollment is allowed for one semester throughout four years, but it cannot be the first term/semester of freshman year. The scholar also must provide documentation explaining the extenuating circumstances that lead to their part-time status.
When are funds disbursed?
Funds are disbursed on a semester basis.
Who are the funds disbursed to?
Scholarship funds are directly disbursed to the scholar’s institution. It is the responsibility of the scholar to submit the required documentation to St. HOPE’s Principal in a timely manner so that the funds can be disbursed to the institution for the following academic term.
How is the scholarship renewed?
Scholars must submit a copy of their official transcript at the end of each term as well as a copy of their class schedule for the upcoming term. Scholarships that are not renewed for three consecutive semesters will automatically be forfeited, and scholars will not be eligible to receive any remaining funds.
I’m considering taking a gap semester/year. Am I still eligible for the scholarship?
Scholarship recipients must be enrolled as full-time students the semester proceeding high school completion. Taking a gap semester or gap year may result in scholarship funds being forfeited.
Who do I contact if I have any questions?
